Koral Scott

Paid Media Specialist

Hey, there! I’m Koral Ann Scott, a marketing strategist and creative professional with over 13 years of expertise in turning ideas into award-winning campaign results. I specialize in helping brands balance compelling storytelling with performance-driven demands.

Get to know Koral

Hometown and what it’s known for:

My hometown is Brantford, Ontario—surprisingly known for quite a bit—but my favourite thing about Brantford is when people ask where I'm from, I can tell them “Silent Hill”.
During the filming of the 2006 horror movie adaptation of the Silent Hill game, Brantford served as the main street, the downtown setting, and the interior of some buildings. People were often allowed to gather downtown and watch the filming take place. Really fun experience.

Strange Phobia:

Sharks! Most large water creatures, actually. I’m not entirely sure why, though. I’ve never had a bad experience with them, but anytime I see a large aquatic creature (even in media and video games), there is a 100% chance I’ll feel faint.

Nickname and Origin:

Koko. I used to babysit and take care of children a lot, and Koral can be fairly difficult for young children to pronounce. So, I quickly became Koko to the young ones I was taking care of, and then to everyone else around me. From 13 years old to this day: Koko.

A cause I’m passionate about:

Accessibility for underprivileged families and children, including but not limited to education and educational opportunities, healthcare and wellness services, community and recreational experiences, financial and economic support, food, and seasonal necessities.

When I’m not working, I’m happiest:

in my studio creating something (like art, new hardcover books, stamps/prints, etc.), watching short- or long-form film, or exploring local events and festivals.

When I was 5, I was pretty sure I’d be a well-established author—if not one of the most well-known authors—when I grew up. …That, or the president of the world. You know, something practical.
