| Maryam Mehrtash is a multi-tasking machine! Actress, host, writer, producer, social activist, and digital marketing extraordinaire are just some credits to her varied resume. With a keen eye to business, she works on digital strategies by day, and focuses on her film career by night. With a First Class Honors Degree in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, and a passion for film-making and social change she hopes to blend her skills together to raise awareness on world issues using new media, through her production company Boundless Films.
She has served as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Blink Media Works (a digital video and online production company), helping develop their marketing and digital media departments, in addition to developing, producing, and hosting their newest technology show AppTV, which airs nationally in Canada. In 2010, Maryam also worked with Blink to revamp Season 8 of their flagship show GetConnected, and helped earn the show it’s first ever LEO nomination for Best Program under the category of Lifestyle/Information Series. Prior to working with Blink Maryam was quickly paving her way as a digital marketing maven, as Vice President of Client Relations & Marketing at SOHO Business Group, working with some of Canada’s leading and innovative technology companies such as Yahoo!, Microsoft, VISA, Samsung, Rogers, TD Canada Trust, DELL, and TELUS. Maryam loves technology, new media, entertainment and changing the world! She has appeared on CityTV, CBC, Global, BNN, CHEK TV, SCN, The Cave, and CTV. Whether she is tweeting, blogging, updating her facebook status, or adding pictures to her Instagram Maryam is always online and is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with in the new media digital world.
